POR EJEMPLO ITALIA (FOR EXAMPLE ITALY)
These pictures, taken over the course of my two stays in Italy (one year and a half, between 2011 and 2013), could have been made elsewhere in the world, showing no recognizable monuments or places that give a hint about their location.
The images are rather forms of my personal ideas and symbols, tracks that I find accidentally in nature or nearby. Some architectural elements and signs of man's presence also appear, but always refering to shapes, materials and textures found in nature.
This serie of pictures was not conceived on purpose. It has been reviewing all the pictures of my life in Italy and my travels along the peninsula that I found these strange images that seem to had nothing to contribute, but that contain symbols that are repeated, that are looking for me. They speak, not about the landscape around me, but about my inner landscape.
Only by chance these are pictures taken in Italy, to Italian places and things.
